School Group Registration
If planning to register a group from your school or district, use the purple Group Registration link at the bottom of this page.
Enter the School Admin or Group Leader’s name and email first. (This person is responsible for paying or getting the invoice to the right person/department.)
- Check the box if that person is also attending the convention and complete their registration.
- Click “Register another” to enter more attendees.
Purchase Orders
If you are paying by PO, enter your PO # and upload your PO. If you download an invoice to submit for processing a PO, be sure to upload your PO by February 14, 2025.
A copy of the PO must be uploaded to your portal by February 14, 2025. Registrations without POs are not guaranteed after that date. If there’s no PO on file by then, we may require credit card payment before you can pick up your badge or attend any sessions or meals.
MEALS: If your school or district administrator registered you as part of a group, you should log into your attendee portal* to select your personal meal restrictions as needed.
*Your confirmation email contains a link to your portal.
RATE INCREASE: Register by February 14, 2025 for the best rates. After February 14, registrations will still be accepted online and onsite at the Hyatt Regency SFO at the higher price. Every registration type price increases by $20 after Feb. 14.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be submitted via email to the CATE Registrar at cateregistrar@gmail.com. There will be a $25 service charge on cancellations before December 31, 2024. There will be a $50 service charge for cancellations between 1/1/2025 and 2/14/2025. NO REFUNDS will be given after February 14, 2025 due to our position as a non-profit organization, funded by teachers for teachers. The price for all registrations increases after February 14, 2025, adding $20 to the price. If you are using a purchase order (PO), you must upload a copy of the PO to your portal by February 14, 2025. Registrations without POs are not guaranteed after that date. If you do not have a PO on file by then, we may require a credit card upon arrival.
Payment
Payment of registration and event fees must be made within 30 days of the conference.
Mailing Checks: If paying by check without a purchase order, mail checks by Feb. 14 to avoid cancellation.
Checks should be PAYABLE to CATE. Reference your invoice number in the memo line and include the invoice(s) with your payment.

CATE Members
If you received membership through CATE’s yearly convention, your membership automatically expires on Jan. 31 the following year.
Most memberships expire on January 31 each year. The exceptions to this are teachers who purchase 2- or 3-year memberships, Retired/Lifetime memberships, and those who manually renew outside of the yearly convention.
If your membership expires after 3/2/2025, you can take a $50 discount on registration. Refer to the e-mail sent by the CATE Membership Chair, Lori Campbell: membership@cateweb.org. If you did not receive an email, it’s likely that your membership expires 1/31/2025.
To check your membership, check the mailing label of the CATE 2025 Convention flyer, or on your mailing label of an issue of California English. If you can’t find your CATE membership number and expiration date, you can email our Membership Chair, Lori Campbell, at membership@cateweb.org.
MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL: If you aren’t sure of your number or expiration date, go ahead and register without your membership information. Your membership will automatically be renewed with your registration.
