Online Registration

HOW TO REGISTER

Online registration is managed by eventPower. Registration for the convention includes access to super sessions, workshops, major speakers, and the exhibit hall. Meal events are extra (or part of the One-Click Package). We hope online registration will make it easier for you to:

  • verify your own registration
  • register as a group
  • order extra (guest) meals

Group Registration: When finished entering the first attendee’s registration information, you have the option to “Pay now” or “Register another.” Click “Register another” to add to your group.

Purchase Orders: If you are paying by PO, click “Pay now” and choose Payment type: Purchase Order. Enter your PO # and upload your PO. If you need to download an invoice to submit for processing your PO, be sure to upload your PO before February 17, 2024.

If you are using a PO, you must upload a copy of the PO to your portal by February 17, 2024. Registrations without POs are not guaranteed after that date. If you arrive onsite and do not have a PO on file, we will require credit card payment before you can pick up your badge or attend any sessions or meals.

Meals: If your school or district administrator registered you as part of a group, you should log into your attendee portal to select meal restrictions as needed. Your confirmation email contains a link to your portal.

Rate Increase: Register by February 17, 2024 for the best rates. After February 17, registrations will still be accepted online as well as onsite at the Hyatt Regency Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) at the higher price. Every registration type price increases by $20 after Feb. 17.

CATE Members: If your membership expires after 3/3/2024, you can take a $50 discount on registration. You’ll need your membership # and expiration date, which you can find on your mailing label of the CATE 2024 Convention flyer, or on your mailing label of an issue of California English. If you can’t find your CATE membership number and expiration date, you can email our Membership Chair, Lori Campbell, at membership@cateweb.org.

To apply your membership discount: You will be asked if you want to apply the $50 coupon for membership. Choose YES to automatically apply the membership discount. No promo codes will be needed at checkout.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be submitted via email to the CATE Registrar at cateregistrar@gmail.com.

There will be a $25 service charge on cancellations before December 31, 2023.
There will be a $50 service charge for cancellations between 1/1/2024 and 2/17/2024.

Due to our position as a non-profit organization, funded by teachers for teachers. NO REFUNDS will be given after February 17, 2024.

The price for all registrations increases after February 17, 2024.


Payment:
Payment of registration and event fees must be made within 30 days of the conference.
Mailing Checks: If paying by check without a PO, CHECKS MUST BE MAILED BY Feb. 17th TO AVOID CANCELLATION. 

Checks should be PAYABLE to CATE. Reference your invoice number in the memo line and include your invoice with your payment.
