The California Writing Project (CWP)

and its local affiliate, the San Diego Writing Area Project, hosted a day of workshops ­led by teacher consultants from across the CWP - focused on the writing and reading of California Stories.

Luncheon with featured speaker, lê thi diem thúy, read excerpts from her acclaimed book, The Gangster We Are Looking For, and shared her reasons and processes for writing her own California story of coming to, growing up, and finding her identity in San Diego.
