Michael Chabon was born in 1963 in Washington, D.C., grew up in Maryland, and has spent most of the last fifteen years living with his wife and their children in Berkeley, California. His first young adult novel, Summerland, was published in 2002. His Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay, (2000) was preceded by The Mysteries of Pittsburgh (1988) and Wonder Boys (1995) as well as two collections of short stories, A Model World and Other Stories (1990) and Werewolves in Their Youth (1999). Michael is currently working on a new novel, Hatzeplatz, and a book of short stories, Tales of Mystery and Imagination. |
